As we navigate through the changing seasons, keeping our immune systems strong and our minds sharp is more important than ever. Aim for at least 8 glasses a day, and consider adding a slice of lemon or cucumber for a refreshing twist. Yes even when it's cold! I love to sip on warm water with lemon on these cold days to keep my water levels up. 
 
Eat a Balanced Diet
Incorporate a variety of fruits and vegetables into your meals. Foods rich in vitamins C and D, zinc, and antioxidants are particularly beneficial for your immune health. Think citrus fruits, berries, nuts, seeds, and leafy greens. Berries in particular are really fantastic, particularly at this time of year; I love to eat both fresh and cold pressed and dried berries. 
 
Get Enough Sleep
Adequate sleep is crucial for immune function and mental clarity. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night to give your body the rest it needs to repair and defend against illness. Even though my now 10 year old STILL needs to be touching me to sleep well herself, I've learnt to adapt because it's absolutely critical I get adequate sleep, my health is just too important. 
 
Exercise Regularly
Moderate exercise can boost your immune system by promoting good circulation, which allows cells and substances of the immune system to move through the body freely and do their job efficiently. Aim for at least 30 minutes a day of moderate exercise, such as walking, jogging, or yoga. What do you love at this time of year? A walk in the cold morning air or inside a gym? Maybe in the middle of the day when it's not so chilly? For me, I do love the gym but also try to get in the garden a few times a week. Added benefit; fresh veggies!
 
Manage Stress
Chronic stress can weaken your immune system and cloud your mind. Practice stress-relieving activities like meditation, deep breathing exercises, or spending time in nature to keep your stress levels in check.
